Drug Take Back Day
Apr 24 all-day

The DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration) is partnering with the Indiana State Police Department for the 20th annual Drug Take Back Day. This event is aimed at preventing prescription drug abuse and bringing attention to the proper disposal of such drugs. Prescriptions that are no longer used that lay in cabinets are often subject to misuse. New forms of disposal are advised for removing of these medications. It is no longer considered safe to flush drugs down the toilet or throw them in the trash. Events like this one are aimed at proper disposal of these medications. Collection sites will be set up for expired, unused, and unwanted prescription drugs. This includes liquid and pill medication. Vaping devices with batteries removed will also be accepted. NO NEEDLES of any kind will be accepted. Reminder to all that these disposal sites are both free and anonymous. To locate a disposal site closest to you click the link below.
